It was great to see 5 crews turn out for the first race of the year after being off the river since October last year. The Simon Mepham Mixed Doubles Marathon was held at TVSC in favourable conditions with 3 Vets crews, 1 Novice & our first race for Sally Stanley & Derek Henderson in Novice Restricted. Good to see these two newcomers to the Club getting stuck in & gaining race experience.
Overall myself & Amanda Leach, coxed by Nicky Painter set our Club’s fastest time of the day, but we all came away empty handed with regards to pots.
